iplayer or similar...
Hello Guys,
Is there some type of i player we can get here in NZ. Im missing watching the MotoGP. I wont be getting sky untill i rent a more permanent place. So, is there something similar as iplayer sends an onscreen messege of "not available in your area" or something like that..
Thanks all.
Gary.

Gary,
I have read about using a proxy I.P. address so the web thinks you are in UK and you can then watch all the iPlayer you want. Look at this thread on an Army site I use;
http://www.arrse.co.uk/living-overse...tv-abroad.html
Hope it helps, if it does, let me know and I will use it when I get over to NZ.
Cheers

Since I've arrived I've used www.watchuktv.com It's costs us about $15 per month but it tricks the pc into thinking we're in the UK, so the kids still watch Blue Peter/Newsround/CBBC 2 years after arriving and we watch bbc/itv/channel4 players as we did from the UK.
From a parent point of view, I much prefer the kids watch CBBC rather than Disney Channel!
There seem to be several ways of doing this, but although not necessarily the cheapest, we've had no problems with it and enjoy watching Dr Who etc. ourselves.
