Re: invercargill information
Hi
Invercargill is right at the bottom of south island as im sure you know. For me its a bit to cold even compared to Dunedin and also a bit to isolated. Having said that its a biggish place and nice and flat.It has all the shops you would expect and is close to outside stuff. Not very good for concerts or travel as you are well away from all that. Been there for courses and work and seemed ok just not for me. all the best george |
Re: invercargill information
My BIL and his wife live in Vegas, well thats the NZ local name for it , having lived in Dunedin for nearly 5 years and been down there a few times, its a very liveable place, smallish city and dont buy a house south of the railway line, studentville like Dunners , Otatara is an awesome bushy place to live near Oreati beach , there are some nice rural places to live, its all flat down there as most of the city is built on reclaimed land, namely a swamp !! the people are very friendly, and No they dont have bung eyes and have six toes and fingers, you have to look beyond what you had in UK, Vegas is a very laid back place and has just about every thing a family would want and need, lakes and mountains close by, good schools, and the climate isnt that bad, if you can handle Scotland you can handle Invers !! They do get a wee bit more rain than any where else, and thats why there are more dairy farms down there, green and not brown like OZZY:eek:.
Where ever you move to in NZ you will make it your own if you want it . Good luck with it all |
