Introducing myself
Hi
My name is Karen and I am currently living in Spain but will be relocating to NZ on Feb 7th . My husband is a NZ citizen and has been working in Warkworth nr Auckland for just over 2 months , he loves it !!. I am more apprehensive and am very nervous about the move , I like the life here in Spain and have many good friends but the work opportunities are very few and far between and my husband needed a career hence the move to NZ . We are renting the house here so always have the choice to return if we are not happy , I believe this is the best move for us at this moment in time but it does not make it any less scary . I have read the threads on this forum for the last few months and thought it was time that I introduced myself .

Welcome to the forum
Everyone is really helpful on here so ask away if you need any help.
If you need to have a chat at anytime pop into the Kiwi bar for some cyber drinks and laughter normally someone is propping up the bar

As you can see, I too am in Spain, nr Gandia. I have a job as an interpreter but as I work from home do not have many friends here. We too are considering Auckland.
You´re lucky your husband already has his foot in the door. We have to start from scratch and the last selection of EOIs seems to be requiring the highest points yet, making it all the more difficult to get in without a job offer!
What does your hubby do? Do you work over here?
