Insurance for emigrating.
Merry Christmas everyone,
We should be leaving U.K. 3rd/4th week of January and thinking of stopping off en-route, but not sure where. Does anybody have any advise/experience regarding Travel insurance for all the usual things that can go wrong when travelling with three children. We have had a previous accident on holiday and are very concerned to put in place some kind of insurance. Is it true that insurers are reluctant to issue cover because of not having a U.K. return address. Thank you. |
Re: Insurance for emigrating.
Try insure and go. I saw a link on their website call expat insurance. We were searching for annual travel insurance so didn't explore this link any further. I hope it is what you are after.

Hi,
We used the Post Office in the UK to insure us for the journey over. Taff |

They are cheaper than their competitors, offer a specialised plan for immigrants and, as they are a NZ company, are open when you need them to be (ie you don't have to call after 10pm NZ time to get in touch with them). I'm pretty sure their website is www.southerncross.co.nz - if not something very similar. They offer deals from 1 - 6 months and can include full health/dental insurance etc. |
