Hi,

Heading out to wellington on a working holidday visa, but hope to stay and find work and transfer onto a skilled workers visa. My question is, what should i do about insurance? Im getting insurance for my flight over, but what about medical/ health insurance? Any help would be greatfully appriciated!

Hi,

I came on a WHV nearly 2 years ago and I purchased travel insurance. At the moment I'm with World Nomads where it let you submit claims online while you are here and also if you wish to extend your policy if you wish. You should be covered for medical but you would have to read the policy details.

I had an emergency dental treatment done last week so I was very fortunate to have this covered as it cost heaps here!
