Hi,
Anyone know what the charges are when buying parts for things like mountain bikes from the UK? There are some parts that are simply impossible to source directly in NZ.

you could try https://www.customs.govt.nz/personal...uty-estimator/
you have to take in to consideration that the postage is also part of the costs. rule of thumb if it adds up to less than $1000 you probably won't pay duty

If you don't have to buy direct and not in a hurry its cheaper if you deliver to uk first (say relatives) as postage is generally free to uk address, and so only pay VAT and write gift on package. Saves double taxation and good if you're buying from several outlets to combine into 1 parcel
