Impending operation on our dog
we have a five year old Beagle, our gorgeous little girl has cruciate ligament problems in both back legs. Our vet has advised surgery after injection and anti-inflammatry tabs did not work sufficiently so surgery is booked for next Wednesday. I wondered if anyone with a dog with this complaint had any tips about the aftercare etc to get our beloved pet back to good health. Would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Forgot to mention in my previous message - we have been in NZ five and a half years, Annie joined our family six months after our arrival and is a wonderful companion, she has made all the difference to our lives, have made some lovely doggie friends/owners through her. Thank you again. Joan....

sorry don't have any experience of this but feel for you. I would think that she would need lots of rest and be kept restricted to the amount of exercise she should do.

Thanks, hopefully we will get her sorted out very soon and help her with a gentle recovery time. J x

I hope this operation goes well for you dog Hippygran. So worrying really when are pets are not 100%.
I suppose it might be gentle recovery with the right physio?
No idea as I just have cats and birds.
Anyway, all the best to you and your dog
