Default Hutt valley with young children

Hi everyone,

We now have a start date of 2nd July for my husbands job in Lower hutt and will fly out with the children the week before. We have 4 weeks accommodation but need to look at renting after that.

We have been looking at Pinehaven/Silverstream area to rent.

I could do with some more info on good schools, pre-schools and childcare options in the hutt valley region. The children are 6, 3 and 2.

Silverstream school looks good but has a strict zoning policy.

My son (6) is at Silverstream school, and my youngest at Silverstream Kindy - both really good IMO, although you are correct they are very strict on zoning (we struggled to find a rental in zone, but got one eventually!). Pinehaven school is well regarded too, and a bit more flexible on zoning I've heard.

There are quite a few private daycare places around that area too, PM us if we can help (the missus will know more than me!)
