Default How much TAX???

Just thought I'd ask!!! I have been offered quite a good salary over there, so I'm needing to know whether this will go further???

How much in the $ is paid in tax from your salary?

Does this increase if you reach a tax thresh hold?

Cheers

Try this site

It has online tools that should assist in the calculation. It is a 'tiered' system, so yes to your question re tax thresholds - sorry, can't remember exactly what the rates are relative to earning scale.

Hmmm...I've been in the second tier a couple of times (briefly), but mostly I'm languishing at 19.5%.
