How many hours can you work on a working holiday visa?

I am looking to relocate to new Zealand to work as a nurse. I may have a job offer soon following an interview. I do want to get a skilled migrant visa but I'm concerned about the length of time I have to wait for it potentially up to 9 months. I'm concerned my employer may not be able to wait that long. So I'm wondering while I wait for skilled migrant visa to be granted could I just come out on a WHV? In the job I would need to be allowed to work 30hrs per week...0.8FTE. I'm under 30. Could I do this on WHV while wait for skilled migrant visa?

You are allowed to work for a maximum duration of 12 months on a WHV from the UK irrespective of which WHV term you apply for (12 or 23 months).
There is no restriction on working hours, only that the job you accept is temporary, not permanent and of course legal.
You also have an obligation to pay income tax so must have an NZ IRD number and a bank account. You can work the 12 months all at once or break it up so long as the total period you work is not over 12 months.
Should give you enough time to get through skilled migrant so long as you have enough points and have a written permanent job offer (that you haven't accepted because of your WHV conditions).

I don't see why not. When I was on WHV I worked in a full time admin job with no problems. As long as the work contract is temporary, it doesn't matter about the number if hours worked in a week.
