Default How long are medicals valid for?

If all documentation including medicals has been submitted as requested, how long are they valid for? I have been told they are going to take 1-4 months to allocate a case officer and then 1-3 months after that for a decision. Isnt it a little unfair if they then ask for all these forms again which cost alot of time and money? many thanks for any help.

Hi there Katee, I think they're valid for 3 months (same thing for the police certificates). I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be around to correct me if I'm wrong.

But maybe they mean you have to submit them within 3 months of having them done? Not sure!

I wouldn't worry too much as we submitted ours in March and they still seem ok - from when the visa is issued you have a year to get it 'stamped', whereas in Australia it does seem a year countdown from when you submit them.

They must be no older than three months when you submit them with an application.

If you have a current application under consideration & here I am assuming you mean an ITA, then you will not be asked to re-do the medicals.
