How long would it take in a car to drive from Otumoetai, Tauranga City,
Bay Of Plenty to Auckland City???

I've done it in 2.5 hrs with one coffee stop. That's going via Katikati/Waihi/Paeroa/Ngatea. I'd allow longer if you don't know the road. You also have the option of going via State Highway 29, over the Kaimais (hills) and through Matamata (less coffee/toilet stops available this way). OH says this is an easier drive (better roads) but not much difference timewise.

It`s between 2-3 hrs but chill out and take as long as you want and enjoy the views .

Also depends on the time of day, don't do it any time near the infamous AKL rush hours.

Yes we did it mid afternoon - Auck - beachlands area to Tauranga 2 1/2 hours with 1 stop at Paeroa to take photo of the large bottle of L&P and experience the talking toilet
Stunning rainbows (3 at once) and scenery this route!

Nooooo L&P is a lovely 'lemon and Paeroa' unique to NZ. Probably high in sugar as it's a fizzy drink. The model bottle on display is huge- house high.
