How long did it take to get a visa?
 

Me and my boyfriend are planning on moving to new zealand and were wondering how long it took to get a visa and get replies back from their EOI!

welcome to the forum, our visa took 6 months from the date of application of the EOI to actually getting the blue stickers in the passport ............ its not as scary as it looks

I was 4 months from submitting my EOI and getting the blue stickers in my passport.

What are your plans? Have you guys got job offers or going out to find one?

We have kind of got job offers but they cant say until a couple of months before we come over. We r planning on moving in the next 6 months if everything goes alrite! :D

Hi there, ours took 4 months from submitting EOI to getting PR approved with job offer

We got ours in 7 working days.:)

We submitted ours 19th May, with job offer - still waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!! :eek: That is sooo quick!

Just submited our EOI today...they are selecting later on too, so finger's xd they pick ours out fairly soon!

7 days would be fantastic....but I'm not expecting it to be that quick!! :p

Yep it was quick, we submitted on 30th Dec 2005 and got call from person dealing with our application to say everything was ok and cleared, no worries At all.

So it doesn't look there are any hard and fast rules in terms of timing then. We submitted EOI in July, got selected immediately with only 125 points (no job offer) and submitted our ITA this week. Let's see what happens next.....
