How long??
Anyone got any experience of how long it takes from sending in the ITA to getting your passport back all nicly stamped up.
im applying as a skilled migrant with a job offer and hopefuly all my paperwork i have sent in is in order fingers crossed :scared:

From other's experiences it has taken as little as 4 - 5 weeks to get ITA's approved and visas issued whilst others have taken up to 2 months...with a job offer though you'll pretty much go to the top of the pile so should get to hear pretty quickly I would think... fingers crossed for you anyway...the sooner the better hey....

even though we have pretty much put the house up for sale im pretty reluctant to move to quickly till we have the stamp in the passport i'l keep u all posted though :scared:

well at least the website is up to date unlike some instances i have read on here.........posted the ITA back on the 25th website now sayes ITA recieved visa decision pending.................by the way does anyone know if the visa is successful will the visa which hopefully will be a perminent residency visa have a date on it that will give a date when the last time i will be able to use it to travel reason i ask is my family may not come out with me even though they aere in the application, it depends if we sell the house b4 i start my job :scared:

As far as I am aware, from the day that your application is approved you have 6 months in which to get your visas entered into your passports.
You then have a year from the day you get your PR stickers in which to validate your visa (i.e. enter the country) ...
this doesn't mean that you have to be living in NZ within a year it just means you have to have been to NZ at least once within that year...
you then have up to a further 2 years from your validation date to move over and become resident I think...someone please correct me if you know different!!!
