How do you get a NZ driving licence?

I have a full UK driving licence.

I am just trying to find out how it works to obtain a NZ driving licence? Are there further tests to take?

Just wondering how the process works.

Thanks very much-hope you can help.

I just filled in a form and converted my UK to full NZ license at AA. Took 30 min. Easy peasy.

See here for proper details on forms and where to go:

Overseas licence conversions | AA New Zealand

Where to go for an overseas conversion | NZ Transport Agency

go to the nearest AA shop with your UK licence, fill in a form, take a eye test, have your photo taken and pay your fee.

That is all I had to do eight years ago.

I did notice on the AA website that there were some changes made to the process last year. For instance, people that have held their overseas (UK and others) licence for less than two years now have to take a practical test.
