Durham sounds like a good place to be. What is wrong with your house or area?

We are planning to do the hop in May 2007.

Send me a private message if you would like to explore the option a bit more. Does not mean either of us are comitted to anything by chatting.

What do you and your husband do for work?

sorry if i build your hope up about swapping houses.
It is in an ex mining village, a deprived area our house is ex council in what could be described as rough area. We have police doing raids all the time.
Im a nurse but not working , looking after my kids. My husband works away in the army.
We are exploring the idea of emigrating to oz but my hubby prefers NZ but as he wants to join the army either oz or NZ.
In an ideal world we would jump at the chance but in the real world it would be very difficult to do it.
Try contacting universities in the North East, they may know someone who would be able to help you.

Hhaha...yes Biddy, i have been asked if I am mad :)

Hopefully some method to my madness...

Hi Glasgae,

I live in Thames, New Zealand.

Have not planned to move that far up north. Not to say i will not consider it. i understand that Glasgow can get a bit rough? My grandfather was from paisely and mum from Edinborough, so a visit there will be on the list.

What do you do for work.

Live in Katikati - came from Newbury in Berks but spent most of my life around the Bracknell/Wokingham area.

Civil Engineering.

Currently working for Environment Waikato. My Zone goes from Thames to Waihi.

Are you still up to play with cost of living in the Uk and general carry on's?

Would you be up to having a chat so I can get the low down? I cannot tell you how hard it is to get a very clear picture of the UK. If you are, you could send me your contact number via Private message.
