'House Sale' next chapter!

Hello

After about 8 weeks and 2 surveys from 2 different mortgage companies, our buyer has now asked for 'the dreaded Structural Survey'
The other 2 valuation surveys were fine by the way!!
Oh what a JOY this all is!

Blimmin Houses and emigrating:mad:

HEY HOE

Cheers Jads

Poor you - it is stressful isn't it. Bet they want to beat the price down - we had buyers ask for a structural survey but it was fine in the end. Good luck with it anyway.:)

Hi there my son had to have this done before he sold his UK house and interestingly enough it came back that work they had done (a load bearing wall taken out) the builder that had told them he had all the necessary stuff from council in fact hadn't. Son had actually seen the steel beam in his roof but had no photographic proof of it at all.

Anyhow they got around it by buying some sort of insurance to cover the sale (i forget what it was now but it was a damn site cheaper than having to get the wall opened up for an engineers report) SO if you have any problems thoroughly explore the remedies by asking several different parties....And yes the old bat buying the house was trying to get a cheaper price......They actually had all this to deal with from NZ as the house hadnt sold before they returned.
All the best
Cally
