Holiday accomodation in Welly
 

The flight is booked and we arrive 29th May. :amen:
Can anyone recommend a 2 bed holiday house/accomodation that we can rent for 6 weeks.
Ideally some sort of outdoor space as i have two lively boys.
I am searching the usual bookabach, holiday homes etc

Contact the host and tell them you are looking for 6 weeks accommodation and ask for a bespoke rate.

Try Trademe some of the rental houses are fully furnished and will possibly be rented for 6 weeks

Got one thanks, it's not the ritz but it will do. It's in Kandallah, so anyone nearby let me know :)
So many wanted nearly $1000 a week :eek:

Khandallah is a lovely safe suburb - used to live there.

Yeah Kandallah is a nice suburb between Johnsonville and Ngaio.
Has a quaint little shopping street and train station with regular services into and out of the city. You'll be around 8-10km from Wellington CBD depending on where the rental is.
Furnished rentals are expensive here in Wellington eh!
We had one for 8 weeks in Woburn, Lower Hutt and cost $750 a week. Luckily we weren't paying :thumbsup:

We in Churton Park a few more Km's North through J'ville.

We will be onslow road, kandallah. It has a bus stop right outside so OH can get the bus to work. There is a reserve two houses away so kids can play footie or explore the forest. It will be fine for a 6 weeks :thumbup:

If you walk down Onslow Road to the bottom, you will be in Kaiwharawhara which has a lovely French Cafe called La Cloche.
The Cafe in Ngaio 'Cafe Villa' is also good. The cafes on the street at 'the shops' in Khandallah are not so great imho but I am very fussy about my coffee.
The small New World supermarket in Khandallah is not bad but there is a bigger Countdown in nearby Johnsonville.

Yes it is hilly. Onslow Road is efectively the hill up the mountain - I lived on the top with the harbour views but Khandallah itself is still higher up and it then flattens out. If you need state schools I think all in Khandallah are decile 10 and Onslow College has a good rep but no uniform.

We are down the bottom of Onslow Rd, just off Hutt road
Thanks for all the advice, I will certainly look at kandallah as an option for long term rental :)
