Hi! New to Wellington

Hi all, I'm Iain, m, 30 from Edinburgh, just arrived in Wellington to work last week and started work yesterday.

Loving the place already and would be good to hear from and maybe meet up with some folks already here to get a better idea of life in the kiwi capital.

Am living fairly central just now but need to get my own digs sorted out ASAP.

Hey! Have just started working for Fletcher Construction, all good so far, but so much to take in with life and work!

Would be good to catch up with some folks so will keep an eye out for the next social event!

Welcome to Welly Iain, what do you do in construction? I am an Electrician living and working in Wellington. Been here in NZ 4 months now, and worked in town for 3 of those so far.

Haven't yet met any the guys here on BE, so sure we need a beer soon..

Cheers guys! Haven't had a jacket on since I got here, isn't this summer

I do construction planning and programming, so much more office based these days!

Hi Irnbru14. Welcome to the forum.
We are just across the water from yu in the Nelson area. We hardly ever need to wear jackets either. Maybe sometimes in Winter if the wind is a bit bitter.
Summer is on it's way but it's not here yet.
