Re: Hi from Dunedin

Hi! We have only been here since last October, so are still relatively newbies!
There are plenty of nice bars in the Octagon, spoilt for choice really. I'm trying out the Duke of Wellington tomorrow after work, which is an English type pub just by Queens gardens in town, apparently sells all the English beer (but at a price!! )
Lol! Yeah profile pic was taken in Speights ale house , well worth a look!

Re: Hi from Dunedin
Perhaps some of the Dunedin old timers like Nige (fooferfish) could add to the list of pubs ?!

We have been to the Duke of Wellington, it is pricey alright my husbands chin hit the floor when he ordered two pints nice interior though.
I'm liking the Emersons brew, we have been hitting the inch bar when I pick the hubby up after work, its a nice wee bar.
I think a Dunedin meetup would be good if folk are up for it??

Re: Hi from Dunedin
Yes please!
I booked my flights today, fly 25th, land 27th, start work on the 5th October in Christchurch, then start in the Dunedin office the following Monday.
It'd be good to have something to look forward to, i feel my social diary may be lacking somewhat.

Hi there
Been in Dunners since 1st July 2009 and love it here. Just bought our first house in Andy Bay( June 2011) now we have a dog and the kids are loving it. Any questions fire away. Good choice coming to Dunedin, and the weather is not that bad. The snow was the first we had seen since arriving...last time was June 2009 apparently.
