Hi from Auckland
Hi I've just joined the site after much nagging from my hubby! We have been in NZ for a year now, I'm a nurse and work in a private hospital in Auckland. Feel free to ask anything or tell me anything, any tips are very welcome

Re: Hi from Auckland
Hi Lizzy, I'm hoping to emigrate to NZ the end of this year. I'm a registered adult nurse currently working in plastic surgery and wondered what the pay is like in the private sector in NZ. Which hospital do you work for? I've been checking out Southern Cross, looks pretty good. I'm applying for PR under a partnership visa, so I can afford to have a good luck around. Where abouts in Auckland are you living? Thanks, Bev

I'd love to know more about how you got your job and whether you had it arranged before you moved out or not. I can't PM you as I am a new member and you have to have 3 posts before you can PM but you might be able to PM me.
I'm moving out to join my boyf in December for 12 months and am just starting the job hunting process.

Hi monkey,
I managed to sort my job out before I came, I went through an agency called Tonix who specialise in getting healthcare jobs. They sorted the interviews and references out etc and also help with the visa stuff.
Good luck with everything and feel free to ask me about any stuff will try and help. What line of work are you and your boyfriend in?

Did you register with multiple agencies at first or with TONIX all the way?

I worked at Mercy Ascot too (theatre at both sites) Geneva is the main agency that work both from UK and here in NZ that seem to 'supply Mercy Asco' - I got a job/interview through them from uk - so had job ready to go. I found them very professional.

Good luck for your OH on Monday simonsi It is best to pick just one agency as NZ is a small place and the agencies are going for the same jobs anyway
