Hi Margaret, Hope you are ok. You will be over soon won't you? We will have to do a BOP meet at some point.

Just drinking my morning cuppa and Sky News has just announced that this UK winter is the worst in 100 years. The icy conditions are expected to last another 2 weeks

Dont forget that only to months ago, mid north island was snowed in as far up as Rotorua (I think...)...

Now, I must admit it's pretty cool the weather at the moment!!!

Hope weather improves enough for you to get to the airport!!(and the rest of us that are leaving in January!!)........it is pretty, great to walk in and feels so good when you're snuggled up inside watching the snow fall but when it lasts & lasts and gets in the way of everyday life its a bloody pain!!! compared to you, we've got off lightly (Somerset) ....so far

Do feel for you lol.....keep warm & it won't last the whole two weeks that Sky reckon

I know it and liked it we have been there and pedestrians have right of way if I remember rightly.

30 years, I think they said
Just been looking at my 1979 diary. It snowed on 27th December 1978, next time we saw our lawn in it's entirety was 9nd March 1979 but was short lived as we had 14ins of snow again on 15th March. On 13 February we had snow 3 feet 10ins deep around our house. Great winter that was, loads of time off school

Remember it well......got married on 29th Dec '78 in Cornwall, snowed in for a week, perfect honeymoon.......except BIL & wife were staying with us and I was off sick with bad back (work related I hasten to add!)
