I have 8 weeks notice on my contract, but as for the early days of the job, NZ employment law states that there is a 3 month probation period in which either party can terminate the employment with very little notice (I think it might actually be no notice required)

Mine is 2 weeks notice both sides and I am paid fortnightly. I am also on a 90 day trial and we can both terminate within that time with only 5 days notice. That was what was discussed for my contract.
