Help with container
Hi everyone, at last the house is under offer and looks like it will be a quick sale as the buyers are in renting! We are planning on packing our own container so if anyone can offer any words of advice it will be very much appreciated! For example, someone mentioned Jeyes fluid, do we need to only disinfect garden tools etc?
OMG....so much to organise my head is spinning! x

If it's been outdoors, it needs scrubbing clean. Remove all traces of soil, grass and any seeds. Also, make sure there are no spiders webs visible. Clean any shoes that will go in the container and if you have anything that is bare wood, varnish or stain it unless you can see any markings on it that show it to be heat treated (this generally does not apply to indoor household furniture)
If you have garden spades, forks, etc, clean them and if they still look rough, paint them with hammerite. Once everything is clean, take a cloth, soak it in Jeyes fluid and rub it all over the bits you have cleaned. If the MAF man can smell clean, half your job is done!
If you have a lawn mower, really go to town on this. It will probably be the first thing they inspect and if that is sparkling it will put them in the right frame of mind for the rest.
A Jetwash is now your friend!
Good luck
