Hello from the Naki
 

Hello all,
We are Mike & Lorraine, and our dog Eddi. We've been in NZ 3 1/2 years now
and we are loving life over here.
We live in Okato, a small township ( I would call it a village) about 1/2 an hour from New Plymouth.
I have been looking at the forum for a while now and finally got round to joining!

We are also living in the Naki!! We live in New Plymouth been here for about 10 months and are loving it! :D

We are from Devon so the street names in New Plymouth remind us of home!!! Where are you guys from?

We are from North Yorkshire, a village not far from Harrogate.
I have been to Devon a few times, its a beautiful county.
what made you decide to emigrate here?
We wanted a change of lifestyle, I think most people want that but I have found the reality of living here is a bit different.
The streets aint paved with gold eyyyy??

Hi,

We came to NZ backpacking a few years ago and loved it. We always wanted to come back so we applied got PR, applied for any jobs in NZ got offered a job in the Naki and here we are!!! Enjoying the interesting winter weather we seem to be having!! hehe!

Yeh the weather is great for winter isnt it? Better than an English summer.....
do they still have summer in England?
