hello fellow expats
First time on anything like this but what a great use of cyberspace!
Although we have been in NZ for a while I still miss the camaraderie of other Brits. Kiwi friends are great - but still see me as 'other' - the pom!
I am keen to meet anyone in the lower NI - from New Plymouth to Wellie - age range 40+.

I'm not in NZ but I wanted to pop by and say hi and welcome you to the community. I hope you enjoy using BE and please don't hesitate to give myself the moderators, or concierges a shout if you have any site questions. We've got an FAQ section here, and you can also post any questions, or feedback in our Site Feedback forum.
Once again welcome.

Hi Boopy,
Thanks for you reply! We are in Wanganui, but we travel quite a lot, especially to Wellington where we have family. I am amazed that there isn't such a thing as a 'Brits Club'. Just about every other nationality seems to have one. What great places they are to meet and feel connected with fellow expats. How long have you been in NZ?

Hi and welcome to this little NZ forum
Where is Love30stm when you need her ? She's in Wanganui.
Perhaps start another thread into the main Nz forum or perhaps Meet-ups and mention Wanganui etc. There are folks out there in your area.

Hi Charlie
We are living on the Kapiti Coast, not too far from you. We moved here six months ago from Auckland. Let me know if you are passing!
