Re: Hello everyone
Hot?! A few days ago I was sitting beside a log fire. Not even joking. When I first arrived my room was as cold as a Scottish winter! Its heating up now though.
Im working in a outback pub in WA*
* when I say outback its not like proper proper remote but I don't drive and there's one bus a week so its proper outback to me!

Re: Hello everyone
Na, a proper outback pub would be a titty bar! I'm sure WA will warm up massively this time of year

Re: Hello everyone
Haha I definitely don't work in a titty bar! I think they bring in skimpies once in a blue moon.
Yeah its def getting warmer now

Re: Hello everyone
Hey!
I liked Singapore although I felt constantly sweaty. But I did cope better than I thought. Then I went to Sydney and I wasn't in the best frame of mind the first week. I felt really out of place in the travel tour group I was in and I found Sydney far too busy. Rent was so expensive considering I didn't like it that much so I moved to WA.
Looking back I definitely didn't give Sydney long enough and I could have went elsewhere in NSW but I have fb friends in Perth and it just felt more familiar. So I stayed in hostels the first week then I went to stay with some people. Then went to freo for a weekend then ended up at this country town job. At first I was like oh what have I done but now I'm more settled and by the time im done I think I'll be sad to leave here.

Good on ya ! Glad it's going well. Yeah, a lot of people don't like Sydney because it's so busy and very expensive.
I've enjoyed it both times I've visited there. Living there would make me go
Sounds like you've found a niche for the time being. Hope all continues to go well.

I'll go back to Sydney at some point and I'll bet a fiver I'll end up liking it a lot more. I just wasn't in the best frame of mind. A few things had happened like my bank account being blocked and I also fell and sprained my foot and had to pay the bill.
Im working down here so I can pay to go travelling after it

Excellent. Hope you visit it and have a nice time. It's a great city to see. Walk over Sydney Harbour Bridge (on the footpath) and get a train back. Sublime.

Hey
Just an update for anyone who wants it. I'm still in Australia, I've lasted longer than most people back home thought haha. After my work stint I went travelling down the east coast and camped.that was good but some places weren't as good as I expected. Travelled for around 4 weeks. My favourite places were port Douglas and the whitsundays. Just gorgeous!
Then me and my travel buddy seperated in Sydney. I stayed there for 2 weeks then came back over to WA again (I know I'm mad). Now I'm work in the outback in a pub
Hope everyone is well

Re: Hello everyone
I arrived on Easter Friday and started working on the Saturday so I was a bit stressed for Easter lol. I'm finding Australia surprisingly cold too which is quite funny. Although I'm going up north for a month or 2.
Yeah I' desperate to come to NZ,I really want to come for 2 months after here bit I doubt I'll be able to afford it. I think I'll have to go home and save up again and then maybe go there for a year. I want to be home for Christmas with family

Re: Hello everyone
Thanks for the update. Good to know that you are enjoying yourself in Oz. I'd love to go to the Whitsundays.
