heating oil
 
is there any plumbers, from uk that have moved to nz , wouild you know if you can use kerosene in nz with a boiler from uk or just gas oil

you can get diesel, and diesel/kerosene delivered....

don't use kerosene in your "diesel" boiler though as kerosene is more "searching" and may leak from unions/joints - I know of cases where this has caused a fire. :thumbdown:

hi thanks , i emailed a fuel suppier in tauranga and he said the same they do use a diesel mix with kerosene, and its alright for boilers from uk
as they run on kerosene any way

ha ha very good , if we go i will buy a new one as ours is five years old now
four bed house we only use it for heating use avg winter 1200 liters if its a bit colder 1800 so not to bad

Ah.... so you will buy new UK and transport to NZ? Choice, savings?

just think i would get a better deal , can buy job lot ie rads pipe fittings ect
for about £2,000, would buy tank in nz more room in container
but might be just as well have a log burner with a back boiler, my mate has a farm, and he,s got plenty of trees:thumbsup:
