health insurance
hi might sound like a silly question but will ask anyway (dont have a clue how the healthcare works here)
we have health insurance with southern cross i asked them what we had to do if we needed an operation or anything simliar they said to fill a form in and they pay you what you had to pay out. what i dont understand is what if you dont have the money for the treatment or operation? dont have a clue how much things like this cost. we have also been on doctors waiting lists for over a month now, so far we havent needed to see a doctor but we do have a clumsy 2 year old and husband is also running low on his inhailers so getting a little worried.
anyone with information on this sort of thing would be very helpful.

OK you get the consultant to put you forward for your treatment, then you ring Southern Cross and get a Pre Approval number, then when you get the bill you send it to SC with the pre approval nu and form from them all filled in, and Hey Presto they pay the provider direct.
