Having been in NZ 6 month my wife has applied and got into Uni
It wasn't really in our original plan but we decided to go for it.
It's a Bachelor in Social Work 3 year course.
It'll be financially VERY tough as there's no access to student loans now as we've not been here 3 years. We're weighing up if it'd be worth it or not.
Has anyone got any advice, plus after googling with mixed results does anyone know how much a Social Worker can expect to earn.
After 3 years it wouldn't be much longer before we could move to Oz if the money is considerably more.

I think that a degree is always worth having, but then I would say that as I work in a Uni It's not just the subject, it's the whole learning to learn thing....
However, are there any scholarships she could apply for? The NZ Unis seem remarkably generous in that aspect (much more so than UK ones IMHO).

The place offered is at Unitec in Henderson. Who should she contact to go see about a scholarship? Is there a special office that deals with it all?
