Hi,

I used to have a catering trailer which I investigated at shipping over. Dependent on the caravan's dimensions, can you get it into a container - possibly a high top one? Just check internal dimensions of the container and allow for getting through doors.

Failing that there are several ro-ro operators that transport cars/lorries/caravans etc. etc. around the world. You can google ro-ro to NZ or similar, you complete their online form with dimensions & port etc. etc. The one that we were going to use due to cost, attitude etc. can be found here www.cheq-flag.com

Hope this helps.

Hi we shipped a caravan over using Cutlerfreight. Ours wouldn't fit in a container so it went Roll on Roll off (or drag on drag off but that's another story and jockey wheel.........) Please check out the prices of caravans on Trademe and the type/ style/ age before you decide not to bring it over. We added up the replacement value versus the shipping costs and the shipping costs won. Plus they make 'em different over here!!! Please PM me if you need more info - wasn't the most staightforward part of our move :)
