Yes we have had an offer on our house...unfortunatly it was £8,000 below the asking price so we have said NO we can't accept it, what do you all think ?????
I think we have to stick it out and hopefully one day we will get a better offer,its not like we are in a rush we haven't got flights booked or jobs waiting Etc....
Like we've said before all good things come to those who wait

We have had our house on the market since November - had 3 offers ... 2 we politely declined cause we knew this area is being transformed over the next few years and house prices will nearly double! It's been long and drawn out but we finally sold ours tonight and only £450 under asking price

I'd say go with your gut - if you're not pushed to move, why don't you say you'll consider it but want to have more viewers round before you make a final decision! It all depends on your valuation too - if it's going to leave a big dent in final sale then I would refuse ... but if it's not going to make a huge dent losing the £8k, then I'd sell - thats ME though

Sorry, just going a bit off thread here, but just wanted to say Fantastic News Michelle and Carl! Sincere congratulations!

Shell and Mark, from what we've looked into the very best thing that you can do is take every penny you can get your hands on over here to take with you, cause Pounds go a long way in NZ, and once you are there and earning dollars you'll be shocked at how much giving up on £8k will be. I'd be doing the same as you and holding out for a bit more if you can.

we sold for about £1000 less than our so called minimum selling price but we thought if we dont do it now we wont do it at all.
