Nope - Staying Strong in our household
However, I have been working nights this week and have had my leccy blanket on when I get home - I do still have my summer duvet on though
Have also promised the kids that I will get their leccy blankets on this weekend - still holding out putting the heat pump on just yet

1st May today, so are we, or are we not coping with the cooler nights?
I must confess to leaning towards comfort this past few nights and we've had the heat pump on for an hour in the evenings.

No log burner lit yet although a few other properties around us have sucumbed. We do have a little heater which I have used to take the edge off around twilight time but otherwise all is fine. Still with summer duvets also.

Haha - I love this thread. I see I switched my heat pump on a similar date last year - I thought it was much later... Have resisted lighting the fire and have just used the heat pump so far.... I think I last to late June last year before lighting the fire... Beautiful during the day currently but chilly first thing in the morning!

Who's stopped with the fire lighting or other heating.
We're still lighting the log burner of an evening for one burn to take the chill off. There is still snow on The Ranges where we are despite it seemingly being a milder than normal winter. Still, the back deck faces north so often it is warmer there than inside the house itself.

No more electricity now, you put on jumper missy. Luckily the lockdown saved us from frequent blackouts this year.

We had the heat pump on timer, set to come on just before we get up in the mornings but I switched it off last night as mornings have been bright and sunny and too warm lately, but that may change next week when the clocks go forward. We've been in a similar weather pattern for several weeks now, the days seem to start off very sunny and spring like and then deteriorates mid morning to black skies, rain and cool winds and generally pretty chilly around 4.30pm, so we're not likely to be giving up completely.
