More. But i have to apologise - my camera is pretty cruddy so the quality isn't fantastic.
Mostly from Wellington City though there is one of Island Bay, Wellington (the one with the little boats) and one of the AB vs France Ruckby game.

Well, i am on a roll (and obviously procrastinating at work...)
These are of Titahi Bay. The hill shots are from Richard Street which has a great lookout areas over Titahi Bay and Mana Island.

And finally, a few pics from Kapiti Island. One is the view across to the Kapiti Coast from Kapiti Island. The others are of Takahe (blue birds) and Kereru/Wood Pigeon (NOT flying rats!).
And the yellow one is a tui sitting in a kowhai tree. I love tui - they are the louts of the bird world. Imagine a group of guys in the pub at the bar. They sit there on their perch, getting drunk on kowhai nector and chortling and gurgling away. Every once in a while they pick fights with other birds who turn up wanting their amber nector and, being from NZ are rightly dressed in Black

Excellent pics. Must get to Kapiti Island. Did you camp overnight?

No - went for a work/social club trip actually. Apart from the fact i was sick on the way over as I do not "do" boats, it was a great trip. We went up the North side of the island - not the main part. I think the main part of the island would be fantastic as apparently you can see Kokako which i would like to see. The North part had less of a hill to climb but the view was still spectacular. The waiting time for permits was a lot less as well - apparently in peak summer season you have to book a few months in advance. We booked 3 weeks in advance to go along the North side.
I am not sure you can camp on the island can you? Unless DoC allows some groups to stay overnight. If they do, that would be fantastic!
Actually I would recommend to anyone to go to Kapiti Island. It was lovely and quite good being able to see birds such as the Takahe which was thought extinct for a while.

You can definitely do an overnight stay. They have cabins and stuff.
