I've done this twice & it's great fun. Got to see Bryde's whales & loads of dolphins of course.

Don't forget that weather forecasts are only ever a suggestion .

Any other ideas of what & where you are going to go? Kelly Tarlton's, Sky Tower (& jump off ), Tiritiri Matangi, Devonport & North Head, Snow Planet etc.?

Hoping to do Kelly Tarltons, Zoo, Museum, shopping. Don't think we're do the Sky Tower kids probably won't be impressed, and then just drive around and see what we find

Auckland Zoo is good, as is the Museum. Head to Newmarket for shopping but there are some nice wee arcades off Queen Street. Great views of Auckland can be had from the top of One Tree Hill (Cornwall Park) on a good day. Lots of great Vineyards in Matakana area. If you're up that way Goat Island is a great place to visit.

Let me know if you're free for a coffee

Great deal we have also done this - but make sure the weather is good if you are not a natural sailor as it can get pretty rough in the Hauraki Gulf and beyond. This is one of the many dolphins we saw, unfortunately we did not see any whales, but that didn't reduce the fun we had.

Did one of these when the kids were 4 and 6, up in Paihia. Deal was if you didn't see anything you got to go back for free. Went again with a mate - on same tickets - 6 years later, saw dolphins. The guy on the boat gave me new tickets for the kids AND added me on again. Guess where we're going this summer!
