Default Google Earth

Hi,

Don't know if anyone has already seen this, but if not it's excellent

Bascially it maps the entire globe by satellite imagery which you can zoom in and out of.

The lite client (which is all you'll ever need) is free to download.

Google Earth

Once you've installed it you can go to this link to see NZ specific locations.

The only things I've done so are:

1. Checked out my UK address
2. Checked out Area 51 (Nellis airforce base, Nevada)
3. Checked out the best route to NZ via LA, Hawaii etc...
4. Checked out the Southern Alps (which are in 3D )

This really does show how far NZ is away from anywhere (let alone UK)

Have a good weekend

When you did the Southern Alps, did you do it with full tilt? I did, at about 12000 feet, it's like flying in a helicopter, good stuff.

Oh, yes!

The Southern Alps seem to be one of the few places outside the US that are in 3D. Fantastic!
