New to posting and forums and all...
Does anyone have experience of getting a ppolice check in New Zealand before heading back to UK (scotland) to get a job in NHS? or have got one once back?

You probably need to contact the recruitment section of the NHS. You may just need a UK police check, even though you haven't been there. Sounds odd, but I had a friend who was a social worker and they weren't interested in her NZ record, they just did a UK one even though she was straight from NZ with no UK experience. I guess it was a box-ticking exercise.

I (a nurse) probably would just in case. They may not request it but if they do then it'll save you a lot of hassle.

I (luke) wouldn't both, let the NHS request one from the NZ Police if they wanted to.

I doubt you yourself have to prove you don't have any crimes, only that you declare any misdoings.
