FYI - Intro & Meet-Up sections
Intros
Those of you that used to pop into NZ Intros to welcome newbies will perhaps notice it has disappeared. It was an old sub-forum created way back to separate those first hello's from the main NZ forum , where they could sink from view overnight .
As BE has had the Welcome Inn for quite a while now it was time for the old Intro area to go.
Perhaps those of you that liked to welcome newbies might consider continuing to do so up in the Welcome Inn where newbies from all over the place pop up every day.
Meet-Ups
The meet-up area was created to make it easier for a selection of BE regulars to post to each other about their meet-ups or to invite newbies to meet with them. Please note I did write BE regulars. Increasingly the area has been used by those hoping to push/advertise their own social groups & by those not interested at all in being part of ,or joining in, our wee NZ BE community but who simply wanted to use it as a mail drop spot. So, it is no more.
Anyone wanting to start a meet-up thread is still free to do so of course. It will simply appear in the main NZ forum. Please note it may await approval before appearing on the board.
