Default Furniture rental - New Plymouth

Hi

Does anyone know of a company that is based in New Plymouth that will rent out basic furniture until our container arrives.

We may have found an unfurnished rental, but I cant bear to be left 'home alone' in an empty house whilst OH swans off to work. Our container will take up to 9wks for our stuff to arrive and then i will be looking for work.

Thanks

JIll

Hi Everyone,
I am waiting for my residency visa, all being well i should be arriving in New Plymouth in January. Is there a caravan site where i could rent a static ? Took the bull by the horns and am coming even though i have never been before. I am starting work at Fitzroy at the end of Jan, so any advice would be most welcome as this is going to be a whole new adventure for the family. I have decided against sending a container out so will be requiring ready furnished, hence the static. hope someone can help.
Brilliant site by the way

Hi

I have been recommended DTR in New plymouth, as you can hire furniture til yours arrives or you have purchased.

I have emailed them for a quote, and just waiting for a reply. We are hitting New Plymouth in December....yikes

Hiya all, we're off to NP too, leave LHR on 18th January '09. OH got a job with Transfield, blue stickers arrived a couple of weeks ago, and container is being packed next Thursday! Can't believe this is all happening. Me, OH, four kids and dog all going to be in NP 20th Jan! Having probs sourcing a rental at the moment that will accept pets, but am sure we'll get there in the end. Still very early for Jan entries. Visited NP in July this year, and loved it. (Apart from the cold/wet weather - but then it was winter!!) Tons on offer. I think the Winery Tour is including NP in their venues this year - so there's going to be loads of things to attend over the summer. We've also got tickets to see Simply Red on 13th Feb. According to 'stuff.nz', NP has just been voted one of the best places to live and more desirable than Auckland and Wellington. Watch out for rising house prices!! Would be great to meet up for a BBQ and beer when we're all over there. Open house! All the best to everyone - see you over there in 2009!
