Freeview box?

Hi all can anyone help?
Are tv arrived from the uk (finally) it has free view built in but I have been told that it won't work, I tuned 6 channels analog and have good reception on them.
What channels do you get with a nz free view box? And do I need to boost my Ariel?
Basically is it worth purchasing one? There a few going cheap on trademe...??

Hi, We got a freeview box off TradeMe for $75 which we thought was pretty cheap as they can be about $200 in the shops I think. Although have to admit, it's pretty shocking. Compared to UK freeview for £20 & you get loads of channels, its probably 12 here. I find we're only watching the normal channels 1-4, occasionally Prime but mostly KidZone on 6 - which is why we bought it, so got our money's worth just for daughter to watch that! No idea about aerial though sorry.

It does and you can ;)

The only advantage of Freeview is that you can get HD for free. With Sky even the basic HD channels (i.e. films on One) require an MySky HDI box ($15 per month) plus an HD access fee of $10 per month)
