Smile Flights to the UK

Hello all - looking for some advice please

Wife and I are looking at a trip back to the UK in May for a family wedding, Auckland to Manchester, duration 2 weeks, need to be there for 13th-15th May but other dates either side are flexible.

Cheapest we seem to be able to find is $2400each... does anyone have any tips for finding cheaper? Discount sites or codes?

Thanks,
BB

To be honest. 've just done this to death by checking and checking & re-checking all the available options. Best I could come up with was around $2400 with Emirates into Birmingham. That included trying out Air Asia to Stanstead and the mix and match options.

Price sounds about equivalent to UK at the moment - taxes and fuel have sent prices soaring, Emirates direct to Manchester a great option especially as you get 30kg luggage. You don't have to book in nz though so you could try uk sites like expedia/opodo as a comparator, exchange rate sitting at 2.19ish. Only tip is if you find cheaper from UK end don't put on a NZ credit card... Also look at airline sites direct, we just booked a one way via flight centre and it was only about £3 cheaper than air nz direct. BA normally give free transfers to manchester if that helps.
