flights booked
Hi All
At last after 2 long years we have now booked our flights and will leave the UK on the 29th October. Does anyone know what we need to do about pensions and life policies?
thanks Jackie

Re: flights booked
Congrats Jack we are looking to book our flights out around the same date - might see you at the airport!!
Our life policies are with Scottish Widows and they are fine about us moving to NZ, we just carry on paying them and tell them change of address. We asked the question because it will pay of the mortgage on our UK rental property if the worst happens.
Not sure about pensions, although there seem to be companies out there that specialise in pension transfers. I have a Local Government Pension and I think I will just leave it ticking over in the UK until we have established ourselves properly in NZ - again just inform them of change of address?
Have you also considered carry on paying UK national insurance contributions while in NZ so when you get to retirement age you can claim the full UK pension?
I'm sure someone else will be along to help shortly.
Congrats again
