Re: Flight of the Conchords in Wellington
I got an email last night telling me that I could go and see them.
But I didn't....as I'm a bit old fashioned and prefer comedy shows to actually have jokes and humour in them.
Oh well, I'll let you know the next time they decide to fly straight back to NZ and try to pretend to be just two average guys in the street and not Grammy award winners!

I've not seen them in flight, never really got the hang of Kiwi humour - other than Bro town. Bro Town is on the Comedy Channel here, as is Monty Python, Three Stooges and Whose Line Is It Anyway: Eclectic mix really.

Didn’t see them this time (though I would have loved to)
The one thing I have found is that their standup show is absolutely hilarious. Obviously the humour is not for everyone, but the one thing I would say is that their standup show uses quite a different format/style than their tv show.
I know a lot of people either love or hate their tv show (I love it). But of those people who hate the show, I know many people who loved their stand up routine.
Saw them perform as the opening act to Bic Runga a few years ago. They had the audience in tears with laughter. Completely hilarious.
