Flies, flysprays and fly screens
I just Can't Stand Flies at my parents place - Dairy Flat
I don't even know how Aucklanders cope with it...
We had a few horrible days (before I get back to Welly)- the house was full of flies and indeed we had no idea what to do/how to get rid of them (too many?) :curse::curse:
man. It was bad! and it's a truly nasty experience

I give my son a few dollars to kill them with the electric zapper racket...he has great fun chasing and electrocuting the little sods whilst getting paid for it, i just hate hoovering them all up..

Re: why immigrate?
I have a man from 'magic seal' coming this morning to measure up for a few fly screens for kitchen and bedroom. I can't stand all the flies landing on food/worksurfaces etc - I'm the same as above poster I have 3 sprays around in kitchen- family room and lounge. These little flies are a pest! It reminds me of a holiday we had in Perth OZ- we went to Rottnest Island for 3 nights and spent the whole time avoiding :hired bikes cylced fast! or swatting flies!

Innovair RoboCan is the answer to your problems. It truly works. I couldn't believe it. The damn flies were drivin' me insane, I installed one of these RoboCan thingies and they gone! Amazing!

Ah, you already have one?? I don't need to use any fly spray at all! It should be sufficient. Are you sure it's working properly? Make sure it's spraying or maybe you need another one in the area where flies are congregating.

I do know that where I work we get the placed sprayed every 6 months and this seems to stop the flies, we use a company called Borracure not sure if this would help any of you that seemed to be over run with the little buggers :-)

Really? omg! Maybe you need 2 or 3 cans? Or perhaps a man who comes in and sprays the place, I think it costs about $100 bucks. I looked into that option because the mozzies are horrendous out here and a specialist company told me they spray against mozzies, flies, and other sundry hideous creepy crawlie creatures.....

We try not to use them too much as they could be harmful for us
>a man who comes in and sprays the place
My mum has been considering the option but its pricey

Re: why immigrate?
Yeah it is pricey that's why I went for the RoboCan. I can understand why you don't want to use too many RoboCans, I had to move my dogs eating area because I didn't want him exposed too much to that can.....
I dunno what to suggest....getting the screens installed I suppose but that will prolly be more pricey than the spray man. When I was at Mitre 10 they had all these concentrated products that you can spray yourself...hang on, I'll just go get the thing.....
.....Hi, back again....ok, I have the thing and it's called "NO BUGS SUPER" in a yellow plastic bottle by a company called Kiwicare. The woman at Mitre 10 said it's an excellent product, but I haven't tried it yet. I got it for the mozzies but it's supposed to work on flies and other things too.
Have you tried researching a natural remedy? I just googled and this was the first thing that came up:
http://www.howtogetridofstuff.com/pe...t-rid-of-flies
But sometimes a homemade natural remedy might work....I wonder if there's anything like that....
