Flat/Apartment wanted Auckland
 

My wife & I return to NZ mid April, we have just reached retirement age & therefore have guaranteed retirement income, also I have a permanent job offer. We have references & recommendations from kiwi's we have known for years. We are looking for a furnished flat/apartment in or close to the CBD for my work, a rent of around $400-$450 a week for a 3 - 6 month term whilst we settle in & search for a property.
No pets, non smokers, clean & respectable. A longer term may be considered if the place/rent is right.

look on sites like trademe and realestate.co.nz and get to know which Agents also do rentals. Looking at apartments on realestate 2 beds furnished come in around the $450 mark but most are minimum of 6mths. If you break that time frame even if they do get another tenant in you may well be liable for your full 6mths. and I know a few people who have had problems because they have wanted to move on before the end of the lease period, got other tenants to take over but still had to pay the months they owed.
