As for the hangover I seem to be doing a pretty good job of building up to one.

Excellent result with the house plonk well earned
We bought in Chch 6 months ago and are looking to sell up our bungalow in the midlands UK to help with the mortgage. The UK prices are rocketing at the mo so when to market is the big question. The estate agents say wait until May to catch the spring marriages, hard to judge really.
Don't forget the house warming

It's our turn in 3 weeks. We pick the keys up for our first home just before Easter. We had 18% deposit, 5.99% fixed for 3 yes with $2000 towards stuff from BNZ
Congratulations you guys! Fantastic news

We relocated to Whangarei from Auckland 12 months ago and love it...You can buy a brand new house for around the $400,000 mark. Beaches are beautiful, lovely countryside, 1.5 hours to Auckland....If you can get the work here, it has everything you need. Bream Bay Realty are great and we found some great properties with them...Good Luck

I was just reading in the paper today that house prices in Auckland are rising by $369NZ a day. Average prices have gone from $647K in January to $714K in June - although the number of sales is still down on pre-LVR restriction times.

When I moved here in 2003, it appeared that prices were going up by $10K a month, which seemed incredible at the time. That's even more though.

Yes I am thank you. Starting to make some friends whom I met through here, CrossFit and the dog park.

We won't move into the house for months as we are going to extend and fully renovate. It is also a plaster/brick home so we are going to reclad it and change the windows. Fun but stressful times ahead I think!

Architect employed and ready to go.
