You'll find lots of info on here about HGV jobs.
Yes there are loads of jobs in the papers, but can't get residency as truck driver only a work visa. Lots of us have still moved and love it here.
Hope you find lots more info.

HI,
Thanks for the welcome. If you know of any good companies I could
contact that would be good. Im looking for lots of nights out and
maybe weekends away ( not sure how companies operate in NZ ).
This will help to keep accomodation costs down.
Regards Paul

Re: First post from UK truck driver
We are a family from wales, thinking of emigrating in 12 months after my daughters GCSEs.
My husband works for DHL over here, and when we went to do a reccy last month, he did 2 days work expereince at the Auckland airport depot. DHL couriers have recenlty moved towards owner drivers, and the hours worked were LONG! Our friends emigrated 3 years ago to escape the rat race over here, but are finding hours worked are similar, but the benefits of living there outweigh this. So we start our NZ journey now!

Holiday first
Hi Thanks for the message, I have only done internet reasearch so far.
But it looks like that its going to be my next move. I already live in
Malaysia so Im not to far away.
I will only require a 12 month visa/permit as I intend to return to
Malaysia.
I have just closed my business here, so I think I deserve a holiday.
Im off to thailand for a few weeks relaxing, then come back and start
fresh.
I hope to be out there by august 2008.
Kind Regards Paul
