Firewood in Wellington

Ok I know, it's starting summer (apparently) but.... we've just moved into a new house which has an open fire. I would like to get some firewood. I don't need much as the fire is not the main source of heat for the house.

Any tips on where I can get some reasonably priced DRY wood?

I'm reasonably sure I drive passed a sign for firewood on the way to work - somewhere in Seaview (that's the sign - not work I know where thta is!!)

Will try to look on way home - but am a girl so might forget!!

If it's round here it would probably be old pallets so depends if you want pretty logs or just something to burn.

Try these people:

The Firewood Guys
0800 14 34739663

Based in Hutt Valley
We got our last load of wood from them - reasonably priced and a really nice guy just starting to build a firewood business.
We'll be using them again.
They were talking about supplying some cheaper green wood that we could store up for next winter. Must call them!

Remembered in the end - it's Haines Pallets in Hutt Park Road, Seaview and it's free. Pallets are OK for woodburners or as the base to get the fire going as it is obviously well seasoned (though may be wet depending on where they store their broken pallets).
