Yippeee, finally here!

Flight with CX was great, no complaints. Looked at our first rental property today, wasn't for us and the agent managed to lock us all in :rofl:

On the back of us finally arriving we have had our residence visa approved :D

Welcome LM and congrats on the visa. hope house hunting goes well and if it's a year contract remember that would take you through a winter so see if you can get one with heating :thumbup:, something my husband neglected to take into account when he took on one for when we joined him. :frown:

Agree with Mrs F,
Our rental was lovely in summer but oh my gosh in winter, the place was a fridge. The only heating was a beautiful looking double sided open fireplace (which threw out no heat). The house was beautiful (don't be fooled by looks) but come winter, and it does get cold here. We had no insulation, no double glazing and no heating.
New place has a heat pump and I don't think in the UK I properly appreciated my central heating.
