As it seems the delays and cost for Medicals are varying from one place to another, I thought we could share our experiences...


So let me start...

We used Handsworth Wood Medical Services in B'ham.
It's a one stop shop, they do it all at once.
Wait for appointment: over a week!
Takes 12 days to have results.
Cost £350 per person

Overall OK. Would have been good if I didnt have to chase them for my results. I called on the Friday at lunch to be told it's all back but the GP has finished for today. Called on the Monday morning, no answer. Went there to pick up, was told I should not come until they contact me... But as it was urgently needed, I told her I'd wait until they give it to me as I needed to lodge it in London the same day. 20 mins later she gave it to me... D'oh!
Shame I wasn't told at the time that I needed to see a Renal specialist and get an up to date report on my condition.
